This col­lec­tion of essays was pub­lished by the Uni­ver­si­ty of Min­neso­ta in 2001, and it includes a num­ber of often ref­er­enced arti­cles, includ­ing a crit­i­cal appraisal of Bene­dict Ander­son from a Latin Amer­i­can per­spec­tive, a nov­el con­cep­tu­al pro­pos­al for the study of “con­tact zones,” and a num­ber of oth­er essays.
